A Midsummer's Nightmare

The Common Shakespeare Company has been holding its annual “Players in the Park” series in the Sally Gardens for years, bringing the gift of theatre to the public for free every fall. Normally a smooth production with nary a hiccup onstage, this season’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream has been nothing short of a tragedy.

What seemed like a few harmless pranks quickly took a turn for the terrifying. Actors began croaking like toads on stage. Stagehands started seeing shadow figures waiting for them in the wings. Audience members lost themselves on their way into the gardens, finding themselves back at the park gates over and over again.

Aisling Dear, director of the production, has come to the offices of Paranormal Inc. desperate for someone to bring an end to the hauntings. However, she believes there to be a slight complication:

“No, it’s not a ghost. I’m certain of it. It’s something much worse… a fairy!”
